Review:

I have read all but one of the Cold Creek books, and I have to say that this was a nice clean romance. I enjoyed the characters and their development, right down to the children. Though there are no real twists in plot, the story is simple and moves along well. What irks me is the lack of attention to detail when bringing elements over from previous stories, creating inconsistencies. Reading books in a series leads one to believe there will be details about the other characters we have seen in the past. This is hardly the case. The author could have simply started a series for the Bowman’s rather than attempt to situate them in Cold Creek since the only reference to past characters is hastily added in the end.
Putting that aside, the book is nonetheless a light read and quite enjoyable.
